Artist Statement
Its kind of fun messing with people's minds or experimenting with them, seeing their reactions to us. All people are different and respond differently to us. We were born performance artists, you could say. Each time we go out, people react to our presence. So in the end our artwork is about other people; how they respond, how they are individuals and different from each other. Or even how they are the same as a group.
What we are asking about ourselves--are we individuals? are we different? are we the same? are we a unit?--applies to everyone. As identical twins, these questions are amplified. We are driven to seek answers to these questions and to make sure that we each know what defines us. Us as individuals and us as a unit.
